大概有十年了吧! 我第一次見到芳芸是在舊金山的 Amira ，該空間以中東舞樂表演節目出名，幾乎每晚都有不同的演出。當晚本來是要去幫老公的同事捧場的 “我幫朋友伴奏，有空來看! ”
，到場卻訝異地發現舞台上柔美的女舞者來自台灣 ! 那年代，為表演藝術赴舊金山的台灣學子不多，即便有，也多是西方音樂。至於非主流舞樂，我前顧後盼幾年的只看到我一個，有時候覺得蠻孤單的，卻沒想到數年後還真有另一個瘋子，而且還瘋莎芮克 !
女舞者下台後，經朋友的引介聊了起來。世界很小，才發現彼此都是來到舊金山重拾所熱愛的舞樂專注學習，還事師於同一個中東打擊樂老師Mary Ellen Donald - 當地頗受敬重的一位盲樂師。
芳芸爽朗的笑聲跟舞台上柔美的印象迥異，靈秀的大眼定定的直射焦點，有種俠氣是最初在纖細外表下看不出來的。當下對這女子印象深刻，佩服她學習中東舞樂的勇氣與決心。之後每聽到台灣舞壇的消息，總會想到芳芸。偶爾逛逛她的網頁，總驚喜於美麗的影像、設計和理念，愈發佩服。
再一次見面，是幾年後訪台的事了，
知曉她的舞蹈生涯高低浮沉不斷，但仍稟持信念繼續前進。終於，芳芸要將她的舞蹈歷程出書與大家分享。期待她美麗的文字與影像!
There are about ten years! I first met Fong
Yun at Amira in San Francisco that is famous for
Middle Eastern dance show , almost every night with different performers. That
night was went to join my husband's colleagues
"I helped a friend accompaniment, just
come and enjoy ! " when I got
there, was surprised to find the fine female dancers also from Taiwan! In that
age of Taiwan, the student went to San Francisco for the Performing Arts are
not many , even if there are for Western music only. As the non-mainstream
dance musican, I'd look forward to several years still me only , and
sometimes feel quite alone but had not imagined a few years really have
another madman, but also crazy at Ishriq !
After Fong Yun step down, after our friend
introduce . The world is so small, to find each other both come to San
Francisco to regain the love of dance music to concentrate on learning things'
with a Middle Eastern percussion teacher Mary Ellen Donald - a highly regarded
local blind musicians.

style are different impression, when her scenery big eyes look at you, there is
a kind of dandy! It hard to fine from her slim appearance . In the moment she
is deeply Impressed me , I do admire her courage and determination what she
studied dance music in the Middle East. After that every heard the news of
Taiwan's Ishriq , always think of the Fong Yun. her website, always pleasantly
surprised at her beautiful images, design and concept, increasingly admire.
Next Meet her again, was few years
later when I visit Taiwan, ups and downs continuously aware of her dance
career, but still founded on faith and move on. Finally, Fong Yun going to
public her dance history of book to share with Members. We look forward to her
beautiful text and images!

舞蹈之於我與芳芸或許使用的語言不同 , 但在這兩次的創作裡 , 似乎讓兩條平行的直線 , 默默的產生牽引的變化 .
壯闊的嘉明湖與嬌弱的水漾森林 , 她們都提供了我們平靜的自由與想象空間 , 身體的疲累使我們緩慢移動 , 但卻也多了呼吸與凝視的機會 .

The language of Dance, FangYun may
different with me. but in the creation
of these twice, it seems to have two parallel lines, silent traction changes.
The magnificent the JiaMing Lake delicate Shui Ying forest, they all provide the much more quiet, freedom and
imagination, And the tired body even moving slowly. But it make us breathing
with more opportunity to gaze at each other.

歷經一年之久的記錄書籍進度，每當完成一步，內心總會多一份踏實的美好，在她身上，讓我看見異於常人的執著，不知不覺，自己在過程中也昇華了；所有書的拍攝過程當中，她不單單是要傳達對於舞蹈上的創作，而是述說自身蛻化中的過程，如何在一切渾沌當中，讓自己得到一絲平靜，且變得更美好。
After 12 months as long as the documentery book's progress, whenever the completion of the step, my heart will always be more than goodness, I learned a lot of life's fundamental truth from her. She let me see the dedication different with other people. Imperceptibly ,it make me complete. Photographing processing of all the books, she does not just want to convey the dance creation, but describing the process in itself exuviate, and how to peaceful dulling the chaos, which, and a better place.

芸娘的貝里珠
書名「0.9439的貝里珠」,或許很多朋友跟我一樣,一開始都不明白這個書名的意思,以及書的內容.細問之下, 芳芸才告訴我: 「貝里珠」是一種罕見的天文現象。發生在日全食的過程中，月球即將完全遮沒日輪的瞬間，月球邊緣出現彷彿一串光彩奪目的「珍珠」，或是戒指上耀眼「鑽石」的亮點。這個瞬間，我們眼睛所見的光芒,就是貝里珠綻放出來的。
而0.9439是2012年5月21日發生的日環食食分。也就是說這次日全食,太陽的直徑被月球遮住10/9.439。
對把舞蹈視為生命的舞者芸娘來說，用這麼特殊的一種天文現象來作為她第一本的舞蹈書名，我不感到意外。
記得與芸娘合作的【賧佛】表演中，芸娘要用舞蹈帶出擺夷烤茶的氛圍：篤信小乘佛教的擺夷族；來自云南熱帶亞熱帶叢林的高大普洱茶樹。經過若干次的溝通後，芸娘在梵樂伴奏下，用她獨特的舞姿表現了水，木，火，土四個自然元素。這四個因素與茶、與崇拜自然的擺夷生活多麼的息息相關。烤茶的儀式在神聖的佛教、自然神的庇蔭下，得以自然流暢的進行。
一次在旅途中，看到芸娘在陽光下不用遮陽，還光著腳走路，我想她對自然，對萬物的感知是通過身體每一個細胞在實踐的。所以能用「0.9439的貝里珠」這個書名，必定有她過人的感應，並且這感應會激發她的舞蹈靈感。
而我也期待這本唯美的舞蹈書的發行，能為芸娘的舞蹈事業增添光彩，同時讓愛護芳芸的朋友們，在看書的時候，如同欣賞一次0.9439的貝里珠迸發出來的璀璨光芒。

the title of "0.9439 baily's beads
" Maybe a lot of friends like me, at the beginning do not understand the
meaning of it , as well as the contents of the book. Inquiries, Fong Yun told
me: " Bail'y's beads" is a rare astronomical phenomena. When the
solar eclipse, the moon will be completely blanking the sun all round of the
moment, the edge of the moon will appear as if a string of dazzling
"Pearl", or ring dazzling "diamond" brightly spot. Duling
the moment, the light ,it named Baily’s beads..
0.9439 Baily's bead was occured on eclipse of May
21, 2012. That is the total solar eclipse, the diameter of sun was be covered
by the moon of 10/9.439.
On the the dancer YúnNán (Fang Yun ) ,
dance as her life, as her first dance title with such a special kind of
astronomical phenomena, I do not be surprised.
Remember when I performances [ Dǎn Fó ] with FangYun,
She use dancing to show how to roasted tea and apper feeling.about Dai. Dai is
a regin: their believe is Theravada Buddhism. And how to show their tall tea
tree from YúnNán in
tropical and subtropical jungle. After several times communication, FangYun, in
the Vatican music accompaniment, with her unique dance performance to show the
four natural elements of water, wood, fire and earth . Those four factors with
tea, its so closely related to Dai’s life and worship. The Roasted Tea ceremony
under the protective of the sacred Buddhism as natural God, be smoothly and
floating performing .
Once a trip, I saw FangYun she is under the sun
walking with barefoot, I think her perceived natural and all things by every
cell of the body in practice. So the "0.9439 Baily’s beads” as the title,
there must be the induction of her extraordinary and this induction will
inspire the inspiration for her dance.
